Another strength is that it can extract materials selectively by controlling temperature and pressure. As it is environmentally-friendly and enables low-temperature extraction, it can obtain high-purity materials without destroying nutrients and other functional substances. Thus, it will greatly contribute to extracting materials for health supplements, medicine, and cosmetics. CO2 is very suitable for mass production as it is cost-efficient, untoxic, non-sparking, and has low supercritical conditions.
